Cajun was contracted to install augered cast-in-place (ACIP) piling for Chevron Phillips’ U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) Ethylene project in Baytown, TX. The completed, world scale ethane cracker will produce up to 1.5 million metric tons/year (3.3 billion pounds/year) and will be part of a $5 billion investment in ethane and ethylene derivative facilities in the U.S. Gulf Coast region. Cajun’s scope of work initially consisted of auger cast pile installation, but eventually grew to include sheet piles and drilled piers.
