Cajun completed multiple marine infrastructure projects for Shell, including the installation of a Spill Response Vessel Boat Lift at the existing west dock and the replacement of three loading arms at the Shell Norco facility. The vessel lift scope included fabrication and installation of structural support steel, installation of owner-supplied equipment, and commissioning and testing of the completed system for Shell’s Emergency Response Team, utilizing Cajun’s 200′ x 60′ Cajun Courage crane barge.
For the loading arm replacement, Cajun managed the logistics, transportation, removal, and installation of three loading arms. New units were received and staged at Cajun’s Westport Port Allen yard, transported by barge to the facility, and installed following removal of the existing arms. The decommissioned units were then transported back to Westport for shipment to a refurbishment facility.
