Description: In response to the crisis created by the Deepwater Horizon incident off the Louisiana coast, Cajun was contracted to utilize its marine vessels, logistical resources and extensive experience in waterside asset integration to increase capacity in the near shore waters. In less than 30 days, Cajun was able to ramp up 10 offshore multi-purpose service (MPS) spreads including accommodations, lifting capabilities, boom deployment and general support equipment. Throughout the many months of response, Cajun operated, catered and maintained MPS spreads stretching along the Gulf Coast from Destin, FL to western Louisiana. Cajun prepared over 1,200 meals daily, maintained more than 400 bunks, operated crane barges ranging from 60 ton to 330 ton capacity and operated more than 20 motor vessels. All work was completed with no OSHA recordable incidents.
